Each of us leads busy lives, lives often without any space between what we are trying to do and our capabilities. It's important we make time in each day for things that are truly important - our faith, our family and our friends. LIke many of you, I suffer from the same lack of time in a day - 24 hours just isn't enough!
To help us in this plight, I have added PiCal, a calendar module, here at Christian Web Resources. With this calendar, I will share some of the "Big Rocks" that go on my calendar first.
PiCal, by GiJoe, has been one of the best calendar modules available for XOOPS and ImpressCMS. It is the only currently maintained calendar module that is compatible with both XOOPS and ImpressCMS. (eXtCal is available for XOOPS, but needs some modifications to run on an ImpressCMS site) The other things that make PiCal a top choice is the ability to import iCal files, either from a local file, or a published calendar online. PiCal also allows you to export events to a desktop calendar, using iCal. iCalShare.com and public Google calendars are great sources for some of the major events you may want to include on your calendar.
The first things I added were Christian holidays and a chronological Bible reading. More might come later, but I'll be writing an article about using calendars on your church/ministry web sites, so we'll see what comes of that. In the meantime, take a look at your calendar and see what time you have set aside for faith, family and friends.
