XOOPS News : XOOPS Releases 2.3.0 Final

The XOOPS Development Team is pleased to announce the release of XOOPS 2.30 Final.

This release is intended to merge the two existing branches of 2.0 and 2.2 and is building a bridge towards XOOPS 3.0.

CMS News : Security Updates Released for XOOPS and ImpressCMS

Both XOOPS and ImpressCMS have released updates to address the recently disclosed security flaw. The National Vulnerability Database and SecurityFocus both reported details of a security flaw that affected both CMS platforms.
XOOPS has released version RC and ImpressCMS has released version 1.0.2.RC
It is highly recommended you upgrade to the most recent version of either XOOPS or ImpressCMS to better secure your web site.

Sun Microsystems, the world’s biggest contributor to Open Source (Open Office, Java -now under GPL, GlassFish and NetBeans), has recently announced plans to acquire MySQL AB, the sole owner of the MySQL server source code, the MySQL trademark and the domain worldwide.

XOOPS News : XOOPS 2.0.18 Released

The XOOPS development team has released a maintenance version of the XOOPS 2.0 series - 2.0.18.
The developers have begun to focus on code improvements to input validation and database query strings. A new theme has also been added to the default installation.

XOOPS News : New Documentation Site Opens

The XOOPS Foundation is supporting this effort and the domain is being provided by them.
