Between updates for the ImpressCMS 1.3 and ImpressCMS 1.2 branches, work has also been done on the next major release. The first results of that work, like removing the compatibility functionality with the 1.2 branch and some file relocations, are now available in this first alpha release.

  • Content module installation was failing in 1.2.5
  • Dates for new content pages were defaulting to 31 Dec 1969 without any way to change it
  • Installation of the core on MySQL 5.2, or higher, failed because of the TYPE= statements in the sql structure
  • TinyMCE was updated to the latest release, it should work now on IE9

*UPDATE*: When doing an update, you will need to update your system module in order to have the correct version number reported in the admin section.
