ImpressCMS 2.0 Alpha 1 ready for testing

The ImpressCMS project presents its first core release for the new year : ImpressCMS 2.0 Alpha 1.

Between updates for the ImpressCMS 1.3 and ImpressCMS 1.2 branches, work has also been done on the next major release. The first results of that work, like removing the compatibility functionality with the 1.2 branch and some file relocations, are now available in this first alpha release.

ImpressCMS 1.2.7 and 1.3.1 - New Stable (Final) Releases

We are publishing stable releases for both branches of ImpressCMS suitable for use on live sites - the 1.2 branch (LTS, for long term support) and the 1.3 branch.

Everyone is advised to update to one of these latest versions - they contain security updates that will protect your sites from malicious attacks.

Both releases also provide updates to some of the external libraries used (jQuery, TCPDF, PHPMailer, PHPOpenID, just to name a few). They both also have improvements to consistently handling passwords and filtering user-supplied data. Server Maintenance 12 Oct From 10 AM EST

Our hosting sponsor, Inbox International, will be doing an upgrade on their server network, resulting in possible downtime for the ImpressCMS servers (and websites) starting from Wednesday 12 October 2011 around 10 AM EST.

During that time, the servers will not be accessible.

Countdown to ImpressCMS 1.3 Final

Weâre in the final stretch of the release of ImpressCMS 1.3 final!

It has taken us much longer than initially anticipated. That was due to several reasons: less developers available than expected, a miscalculation of the amount of work, and some unforeseeable real-life situations.

ImpressCMS 1.2.6 is now available

ImpressCMS 1.2.6 is now available. Changes in this release :

Content module installation was failing in 1.2.5
Dates for new content pages were defaulting to 31 Dec 1969 without any way to change it
Installation of the core on MySQL 5.2, or higher, failed because of the TYPE= statements in the sql structure
TinyMCE was updated to the latest release, it should work now on IE9

*UPDATE*: When doing an update, you will need to update your system module in order to have the correct version number reported in the admin section.
