The ImpressCMS project presents its first core release for the new year : ImpressCMS 2.0 Alpha 1. Between updates for the ImpressCMS 1.3 and ImpressCMS 1.2 branches, work has also been done on the next major release. The first results of that work, like removing the compatibility functionality with the 1.2 branch and some file relocations, are now available in this first alpha release.
This week, ImpressCMS is celebrating its 4th birthday. We have achieved quite a bit during the last years, and we can be proud of that.

Our hosting sponsor, Inbox International, will be doing an upgrade on their server network, resulting in possible downtime for the ImpressCMS servers (and websites) starting from Wednesday 12 October 2011 around 10 AM EST. During that time, the servers will not be accessible.
